Albert Teo 博士現職為新加坡國立大學 (NUS) 商學院管理組織系副教授。
他在 2008 年 7 月至 2011 年 6 月間,曾擔任新加坡國立大學商學院的社會企業家及慈善精神亞洲中心總監。
他與新加坡國立大學博學計畫合作,擔任該計畫的副總監。
他目前受任建立蔡天寶社區領導計畫 (此為新加坡國立大學聚焦社區參與的大學領導課程),且將擔任該計畫的計畫總監。
Albert Teo 副教授在 1992 年及 1994 年於加州大學柏克萊分校的哈斯商學院 ( Walter A Haas School of Business) 分別取得碩士與博士學位。
他於 1986 年在新加坡州立大學取得他的社會科學學士學位。在 2002 年,他曾任史丹佛大學商學所、芝加哥大學商學所及墨爾本大學商管系客座教授。
Albert Teo 副教授目前投入的研究領域在於社會企業家、慈善與志願、組織生態、社會網絡及策略聯盟等領域。
此外,他在《Academy of Management Journal》、《Organization Science》、《Industrial and Corporate Change》期刊中發表過多篇論文。
Albert Teo 副教授積極參與社區服務,不僅是 Patient Care Center 病患照護中心 (對愛滋病 HIV 病患提供多項協助計畫的社會服務組織) 的志願計畫協調人,同時也是天主教愛滋響應工作 (Catholic AIDS Response Effort,對愛滋病 HIV 病患街友提供庇護所的天主教服務性事工) 的管理委員。
他也是全球 ASKI (ASKI Global,為新加坡移民工作者提供企業家精神培訓計畫的非營利組織) 的董事成員。
Albert Chu-Ying Teo is an associate professor in the Department of Management & Organization, Business School, National University of Singapore (NUS).
He served as the founding director of the NUS Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy from July 2008 to June 2011.
He has a joint appointment with the NUS University Scholars Programme, and serves as a deputy director of the programme.
He set up the NUS Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Programme in November 2011, and serves as the founding director of the programme.
Albert received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1992 and 1994, respectively, from the Walter A Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
His current research interests are in the areas of social entrepreneurship, voluntarism, organizational ecology, social networks, and strategic alliances.
He has published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Industrial and Corporate Change.
Albert is actively involved in community service. He is a volunteer programme coordinator in Patient Care Centre, Communicable Disease Centre.
He serves as an advisor to the following social enterprises and non-profit organizations: ASKI Global, BagoSphere, Nusantara Development Initiatives, and Solutions To End Poverty.
He also sits on various government-appointed committees that oversee programme funding in the social services sector in Singapore.
